Our take

Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) is a global standard designed to improve how healthcare data is shared electronically. It is being adopted by major organizations across the US, including government bodies, to allow more seamless data exchange. 1upHealth is a health-tech company supporting this transition by helping organizations convert data into FHIR format and allowing secure data sharing and analytics.

Regulatory pressure has played a key role in accelerating FHIR adoption, particularly in the US where providers are required to make certain health data accessible through standardized APIs. This shift creates strong tailwind for companies like 1upHealth, which provides the infrastructure needed to meet these requirements. While the space is becoming more active, there remains significant opportunity for platforms that simplify adoption and unlock the value of interoperable data.

The market for healthcare interoperability is still evolving, and 1upHealth is positioned to grow alongside it. Founded in 2017, the company has gained recognition for its progress, including being named among the fastest-growing technology companies in North America by Deloitte. As demand for connected, data-driven healthcare continues to rise, it remains a company to watch in this developing space.
