20VC's mission is to leverage its media business to build products that allow it to be the best investor in the world.
Our take
20VC is an organization operating at "the intersection of venture capital and media", founded by podcaster Harry Stebbings. Stebbings started his podcast, which delves into all corners of tech investing, as a teenager, and has since moved on to raise $140 million in funding to support companies at both seed and growth stages.
With a portfolio spanning over thirty companies, across fields from payroll and team management to EV charging and DeFi, it is clear 20VC has already stamped its mark in the funding world. It is now responsible for three podcasts - 20Growth, 20Sales and 20Product - as well as monthly show "The Memo" which delves into memo’s created by the VCs for companies that have gone on to reach several billions in valuation.
Knowing the value of content, the company has moved to double down on its short form video output - the primary target being TikTok. The company's 2022 purchase of Good Future Media was made to this end, and will allow 20VC to make this content available and on-demand for its portfolio companies.
