Our take
Founded in 2016 by a professor at the University of Southampton, AccelerComm is a leading communications company, with a specific focus on channel coding - or the rectifying of data errors in electronic transmission. The company has capitalised on the 5G rollout of 2019 by helping to improve bad signal on 5G radio access network with its channel coding expertise.
AccelerComm is already working with leading mobile network providers, including Vodafone and Intel, and has achieved performance gains equating to a 20% increase in power efficiency. It has also rolled out a new acceleration engine in 2023; the 5G PUSCH Equaliser module. This is an advanced interference cancellation solution which indicates that AccelerComm does not rest on its laurels.
With significant funding awarded in a 2023 Series B round, AccelerComm is using its capital for new hires and US expansion, with the long-term aim of further global growth.
