Our take

Acurable delivers user-friendly wearable medical devices for patients to use at home, beginning with its AcuPebble® SA100 - which is the first medical device to obtain the CE mark for the automated diagnosis of Obstructive Sleep Apnoea.

This device works by recording the sounds generated by the wearer's breathing and cardiac functions. This data is transferred to a mobile device and then uploaded to a secure cloud, where it is processed against the parameters for a sleep apnoea diagnosis. Practitioners automatically receive a full diagnosis report through the web app, enabling them to make an informed diagnostic decision.

The medical device market is a large and growing space, projected to grow to over USD 1000 billion by 2034, and Acurable is in a great place to benefit from this growth. With early validation of its tech, and research into its next devices already underway, we are excited to see what impact the company is able to make.
