To create a world where AI offers people the things they need, whenever and wherever they need them by helping stores run profitably, customers shop effortlessly, and brands leap to the forefront of retail innovation.
AiFi was born with the goal to make AI as accessible as WiFi by introducing it into an industry that impacts our everyday lives. AiFi provides a fully adaptable, AI platform that allows retailers to affordably become fully autonomous.
AiFi’s most notorious competitor, Amazon Go, retrofits its stores with specialized cameras, sensors and weight shelves. AiFi argues that this solution is expensive and hard to scale. AiFi’s model uses the cheapest off-the-shelf cameras and, crucially, computer vision, which recognizes products and detects in-store activity. Although, computer vision technology is still developing; AiFi’s platform, for example, often struggles to distinguish between similar sized objects.
Still, AiFi is growing at a faster rate than Amazon Go, and now possesses the largest number of camera only, computer vision powered stores across North America, Europe, Middle East, and Asia, marking the scalability of its technology. The potential is huge with Microsoft deciding to partner with AiFi due to its innovative solutions to enhance in-store experience.
