Company mission

To make the law accessible to everyone on the planet.

Our take

Finding a lawyer can be a costly and complex process. Utilising AI to make law work for consumers, Alecto has created a customer experience product that makes finding a lawyer accessible.

It's starting with property and conveyancing, where it matches consumers with estate agents, financial advisors and property lawyers who’ll work for their specific needs.

Alecto’s AI-powered matchmaking service is new to the scene, but it’s backed by leading investors, including Octopus Group and Firstminute. With its consumer-led mission of delivering value for money and making the lawyer search accessible, it could well be on to a game-changing product.

Benefits

  • Meaningful early-stage equity - you'll be an owner, not just an employee
  • 5% employer pension contributions
  • Comprehensive private medical cover including dental and optical
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Your choice in AI tooling

Company values

  • You deserve to know what's happening - Conveyancing has always been a black box. You should have complete visibility: what's done, what's outstanding, what's next
  • Jargon is a barrier, not a feature - Legal language protects lawyers, not clients. We use plain English because you can't make good decisions about things you don't understand
  • Accountability can't be shared - When everyone owns your file, no one does. Every Alecto transaction has one conveyancer who's personally responsible for getting you to completion
  • Price shouldn't be a mystery - You'll know exactly what you're paying before you instruct us. Fixed fees, fully itemised, no surprises
