Alpha aims to empower women to take control of their personal healthcare by providing patients with access to simple, everyday medical needs in a convenient, affordable, and discreet online process.
35% employee growth in 12 months
Alpha Medical is at the apex of two major health trends: the rise of telemedicine, and the rise of capital being invested into health products for women.
The company has built a suite of services from primary & urgent care to dermatology products around a network of 30 staffed primary care providers (PCPs) who treat female patients online, without phone or video calls.
Alpha is keen to expand into even more services. While they started in narrow specialities, the company now handles over 60 conditions and is bringing their services to so called “primary care deserts”. Their operationally non-intensive and DTC approach would be able to provide care for millions of American women who are currently underserved.
The biggest challenge for Alpha will be continuing their momentum despite a wider return to normal in-person services. However, counting in Alpha’s favour is a newfound acceptance of asynchronous, remote care paired with a tranche of regulatory changes that won’t be reversed.
