Our take

Fast fashion leads to an enormous amount of waste. It isn’t sustainable, and there’s been a huge cultural push towards a different model in recent years. Ambercycle rides that momentum, providing a circular economy for textiles that cuts out the industry’s waste.

It provides new ‘molecular regeneration’ technology, which allows for fibers to be completely broken down, separated from hardware, dyes, and other components, and reconstituted into premium ‘cycora’ fabrics. Waste is vastly cut down, and turned into new products, creating revenue as well as helping the planet.

While the company is operating in a small corner of the market, it envisions building large-scale recycling factories over the next 10-15 years, creating a systemic change in the industry, Aiming to incentivize the collection of garments, ensuring that materials circulate within the supply chain rather than exiting it with the goal of establishing a structure where polyester remains within the supply chain, contributing to a sustainable and circular approach that aligns with environmental conservation efforts.
