Our take

Sourcing and procurement is one of the most important processes for many businesses, ranging from large enterprises to SMEs. Yet many such businesses are stuck in the past. In fact, over 95% of businesses still rely on Excel to evaluate supplier bids, a system which is slow and prone to user biases and errors.

Archlet wants to be at the forefront of change in this market. Founded in 2019, Archlet is a user-first sourcing software company that helps companies make better sourcing decisions faster by providing best-in-class sourcing, analytics and optimisation capabilities. Despite its relative youth, Archlet has already secured partnerships with the likes of PepsiCo, Emmi Group, Deutsche Bahn and Gordon Food Service.

Thanks to its early performance, Archlet has managed to secure early funding, which it is using to prioritise growth. Archlet will face tough competition in this market from the likes of Supari and Capterra. Key to getting ahead in this market will be making the best use of AI and machine learning, which has great potential in this field. If their early successes are anything to go by, though, Archlet looks well positioned to make the most of this and create real success in the future.

Tim holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zürich, and has previous experience in management roles at ETH Juniors, where they served as a Project Manager and then Vice President.

Jacob Manz

Jacob began their career in IT consulting, working at Accenture and BNB, before spending 1 year and 5 months working in leadership roles at ETH Juniors.

Lukas Wawrla

(Managing Director)

Lukas began their career in Operations at Sloan, before working as Head of Sales and then VP Sales at ETH Juniors. They also worked in Procurement Excellence at Leica Geosystems.
