To redefine the boundaries of edge computing.
Despite undeniably being more connected than ever, thanks in part to the evolution of the cloud, there are still large parts of the world with no permanent internet connection. Armada sets out to change this, by bringing edge computing and AI capabilities to remote areas.
The backbone of Armada's offering is the Commander platform, through which users can observe and manage all their edge operations. It boasts, among other capabilities, the ability to unify IoT devices, as well as access Armada's marketplace for next-gen AI applications. From Commander, users can also deploy and manage the company's modular data centers, known as Galleons, that are built to integrate into any environment - even remote or mobile ones such as oil rigs or freight trains.
With such an intriguing offering, it is no surprise that the company has received plenty of attention and raised over $55 million in funding in 2023. It has also stated ambitions to score contracts with the world’s largest industrial players and the US Department of Defense, which would certainly put it in a strong position moving forward.
