Atlantic Money's mission is to bring fair priced international money transfers to the world by providing real-time exchange rates and charging a flat rate of £3 per money transfer, regardless of the amount.

Our take

Sending money abroad can be expensive, with commission-driven business models and fluctuating fees making it unaffordable to many. Whilst many fintech companies provide cheaper alternatives to traditional international transfer methods, exchange rates rarely match the real-time value and expensive fees can still prevent it from being worth the customer using.

Atlantic Money provides an international cash transfer app, facilitating transfers of up to 100,000 Euros at a fixed fee of 3 Euros. The app always uses the live exchange rate to maximise value for the customer and supports ten currencies including British Pounds, US Dollars, and Euros.

Whilst the company faces significant competition from fintechs such as Revolut and Wise, Atlantic Money has taken a unique stance with its unique selling point of fees being fixed at 3 Euros and exchange rates being accurate to real-time values. Through this approach, the company has demonstrated significant potential to disrupt the international cash transfer market by minimising the cost of large transfers for its customers.
