Founded in 2014, Bitpanda wants to reinvent the world of finance and help people trust enough to build financial freedom for their future. The company offers an investment platform rooted in the belief that investing should be safe, easy and accessible.
There are a number of trading platforms in competition with the Austrian-founded Bitpanda, including some large US-based players. Nonetheless, Bitpanda has made its mark by remaining Europe-focused, boasting offices and tech hubs across over eight cities from Berlin to Milan.
In 2021, Bitpanda closed a round of series C funding, which took the company’s valuation to over $4B, and helped it achieve international expansion and growth. With its strengthened position in current markets, Bitpanda has partnered with the likes of Visa on its Fintech Partner Connect Programme whilst establishing new opportunities in the UK, Central, and Eastern Europe. 2024 saw it reach an impressive milestone of 5 million retail investors on its platform, with half a million of those coming from the second quarter of 2024 alone. This indicates a boom in business for Bitpanda, that is still on top of its game a decade after founding.
