To simplify complex wireless challenges to connect people, business and things.

Founded with the aim to become a leading centralized player in the fragmented wireless sector, Boingo has made strides over the years - acquiring wireless rights to major venues like stadiums, airports, and military bases, and servicing those areas with monetized small cell networks.
Focusing on this relatively tight niche has allowed the company to develop an industry-leading expertise in the small cell market, to the extent that it’s even helped out rivals like Verizon solve local connectivity issues. With broader efforts underway to construct regional and nationwide digital infrastructure, Boingo’s efforts singled it out as a crucial connectivity building block. This in turn led to its 2021 acquisition by Digital Colony.
This is good news for Boingo: Digital Colony has aspirations to become the Blackstone of digital infrastructure, going on an acquisition and partnership spree that has brought together over two dozen portfolio companies. This will allow Boingo to both continue focusing on its market niche, and be inserted into any broader integral infrastructure that Digital Colony looks to establish.
