Our take
Childcare is an undeveloped and overlooked market. A nanny is unaffordable for most people and others are working freelance or shift work and therefore need flexible (rather than 9-5) childcare.
Bubble addresses this gap in the market for flexible ad hoc childcare with its app. Bubble introduces tech to a low tech sector, improving both babysitters and parents’ chances of matching.
Despite childcare being a low tech sector, Bubble isn’t totally without competition. Competitors include UrbanSitter, Bambino and Sitters in the UK alone.
However, Bubble is already enjoyed by more than 130,000 users. Thanks to its social networking focus and rigorous security checks, the app looks set to succeed in the continued age of mobile apps.

Bubble welcomes parents and carers, and provides flexibility and childcare hours to working parents. The is hybrid working model makes the balance easier too. We're also offered an extended maternity policy as well as private healthcare.
