To simulate the world to make operations safe and efficient, by connecting people, processes, and equipment design.
Training people to operate cranes, excavators and other heavy machinery is tricky business. There is little room for mistakes when equipment is large and real-world training can also be expensive and risky. CM Labs Simulations is tackling that problem with a simple idea: what if operators could make their mistakes before they ever reach the worksite?
That's where CM Labs' Intellia Workforce Training System comes in. Combining realistic simulators with training courses and performance tracking, the company allows operators to practice on virtual versions of real machines and worksites. The systems recreates everything from vehicle movement and vibrations to weather and workplace sounds.
Recently the company moved into Germany too, which is particularly significant because Intellia meets all five technical criteria set out by the DGUV framework for simulation-based operator training.
On top of this, CM Labs has more than 2,000 training system implementations across 50+ countries. The company says its technology can cut training costs b6 50%, speed up operator training by 2.5 times and reduce safety incidents by 40%. Germany could therefore be a major next step, with CM Labs now targeting Austria and Switzerland too.
