To help data solve important problems without compromising privacy.
Sharing and processing data can be a real advantage for individuals and businesses, but the so-called ‘data exhaust’ of unintended consequences and damages is a problem we’ve yet to get a handle on. It’s led to a situation in which, reportedly, the majority of data collected by businesses goes unused because of data security concerns. This leaves important predictive and analytic insights hidden out of reach.
Cape privacy is hoping to develop a market leading solution that takes the best from both worlds: its platform allows businesses to run predictive machine learning models using encrypted data - without ever actually decrypting it. In this way, insight can be unlocked without creating dangerous ‘data exhaust’ issues for the customers this data belongs to.
Whilst Cape Privacy’s platform is still only open to early-access clients, it’s already beginning to tilt its growth towards the financial sector. This is smart: this sector has begun to lean more heavily on ML in recent years, but has been limited in many instances by data regulations.
