Our take

Since its conception in 2005, Car & Classic has become Europe’s largest classic car community and the world’s largest free classified website for classic and specialist vehicles.

There are other players in the field, but whilst Pistonheads caters for modern classics, Car & Classic is the first port of call for older, rare classics. Buyers can bid on vehicles via the website’s new auction feature, which is void of any hidden costs or fees and, unlike eBay, the auction extends if last-minute bids are made, ensuring sellers truly receive the amount their vehicle deserves.

The site has slowly accrued several millions of users, estimating that it facilitates £4.4 billion worth of transactions every year. Its market position grew after being acquired by Cazana, which is considered the leading site for valuations for insurance loss care.

Previously co-founded Cazana, acting as CEO, Kudan, ArgentVision, and Wingmap. Served as Non-Executive Director of onebite, Director of Goode International, Severn-Lamb, Clifton Cowley Innovation Finance, Resource IP Limited, and Xylotek. Worked as a Consultant Engineer for PA Consulting Group, Head of Digital for The Brand Plant, and as an Investment Banking Technologist for Deutsche Bank.
