To empower cement and concrete producers with technologies and strategies to achieve the industry's net zero commitment by 2050.
In what is cited as a world's first, CarbonCure has pioneered a way to capture carbon in concrete on an industrial scale - that brings the possibility of permanently removing significant quantities of CO₂ from the atmosphere. In addition to supplying this process to plants, it also facilitates high-quality carbon credits for the voluntary carbon market.
With CarbonCure, factories can retrofit CO₂ injection equipment in a single visit, so that its installation does not notably affect production. A simple interface - the "CarbonCure Control Box" - is integrated into the plant's batching software, injecting CO₂ into either the hopper or central mixer as appropriate.
Alongside its capture tech, it supplies a complimentary platform, "myCarbonCure", that provides a summary of system usage for producers. Each control box also syncs with the CarbonCure Command Centre in real-time, enabling CarbonCure staff to perform maintenance and provide ongoing support.
By catering to different industrial setups and making the process both simple and supported, it is no doubt CarbonCure will see its share of demand. The win-win scenario of being both economically and environmentally preferable makes it a unique option for the concrete industry, and new funding will help to both boost its global scale and expand its supply of carbon credits.
