Our take

There are over 25 platforms that UK drivers must use in the vehicle management process - for example, for insurance, charges, and taxes. Caura is a vehicle management platform setting out to help clients remove the inconveniences associated with vehicle ownership.

In a fragmented system spread across insurers, governmental bodies, and car service providers, Caura has created a single app that allows drivers to manage everything that has to do with car ownership, from admin, to payments, to insurance. The company's products include Caura Protect - a service that helps drivers to easily manage vehicle and driver insurance on its platform; and Caura Drive - a payment service that allows drivers to pay charges and tolls by using a single app.

The company's early 2023 Lloyds-backed funding will be invested in the further development of its existing products as well as launching new capabilities, such as parking charge payments and enhanced embedded financial services.
