Our take

Companies spend inordinate amounts of time and money building data warehouses and moving data from enterprise applications. Census smooths over that syncing process and makes the resultant information available to employees from across the company.

Unlike most business intelligence tools, Census operationalizes data directly from the data warehouse of a company, and syncs that information with a company’s favourite apps like Salesforce, Marketo and Zendesk. This allows non-data teams such as marketing and sales to access the accurate, up-to-date information they need without requiring coding skills or intensive support from data or developer teams.

The company believes that it can go further to refine its product and fulfil its ambition of building a platform that will allow non-technical users to build data-led queries. It is making positive strides in this direction, with a key move being the recent acquisition of Falcrum, an AI-powered customer segmentation platform. This strategic addition is set to fast-track Census's roadmap, bringing the company one step closer to its goals.
