Our take
Certain Affinity is an action games development studio that was founded in 2006, and the company has had a close partnership with Microsoft for years. It has worked on Doom, many of the Call of Duty titles, Left 4 Dead, and a number of the Halo franchise games including Halo Infinite. The studio's own projects include Crimson Alliance and Age of Booty.
Certain Affinity is currently working with Microsoft to create a Monster Hunter-style game that will be exclusive to Xbox, which will likely launch in 2024. The company is also working with Gala Games, known for blockchain games powered by in-game cryptocurrencies and NFTs, for its new shooter. The Last Expedition is an ambitious original title centred around survival co-op FPS action, complete with a dark and brooding H.R. Giger sci-fi style.
