Company mission

To transform marine insurance. In doing so, create a safer and more efficient global shipping fleet.

Our take

Ceto is tapping into the fast-growing maritime market, where digitalisation and sustainability are becoming top priorities. With major investments in smarter and greener shipping coming fresh and fast, especially in Asia, Ceto has a bountiful market to target.

The company uses predictive analytics and AI to prevent machinery breakdowns and optimise ship performance. By analysing ship data, Ceto can reduce maintenance costs, improve safety, and lower carbon emissions, making it an important player in the push for smarter shipping.

This approach hasn't gone unnoticed either, with the company securing seed funding that supports growth plans and the expansion of partnerships in the maritime and marine insurance sectors. For example, it worked with Chaucer to launch a new marine Managing General Agent that sees real-time vessel data integrated into underwriting.
