Company mission

To enable players to walk into a world of characters and be part of a cohesive narrative where the gameplay is to talk to the characters, develop a relationship with them and change the story.

Our take

Charisma is a storytelling platform whereby users are placed inside interactive stories with virtual characters. It uses machine learning to enable users to talk directly to these characters, giving them the power to influence mood of the characters and the narrative itself.

The company is well positioned for growth given the rising popularity of entertainment that involves audience interactivity with the metaverse industry currently seeing growth by 50%. The impressive clients Charisma has developed projects for, including Sky, WarnerMedia and the BBC, coupled with the variety of projects it works on, from mobile app games to education content for Oxford University, makes it an exciting entity to watch.

Charisma recently received strategic investment from WiSE to accelerate its growth. This relationship resulted in Patrick Bradley joining the board, whose knowledge of film, television and entertainment content will aid the shift from linear to non-linear and will nurture Charisma’s position as a new generation of entertainment.
