Our take
Column is a decentralized social media networking site that is focused on generating socially validating, topic-specific discussions. Leveraging Web3, the Column team is building an intelligent social community that is prioritising its user and content values.
Unlike traditional social media platforms, Column is providing a space where users can customise and take full control over their feed, giving them the ability to design algorithms that reflect what they want to see. Column believes reputation should be valued over follower count and rewards users for positively contributing to the site.
Column was part of the Techstars crypto Boston class of January 2023, a three-month accelerator that supports founders and their businesses on the path to success. Along with an early investment from Web3 Ventures (W3V), an investment organisation focused on the future of decentralized social medias, providing Column with a strategic partnership and collaborative opportunities to accelerate user adoption through projects, companies, and applications that W3V is developing.
