Concirrus was founded in 2012 with the intention of leveraging technology to transform the insurance industry - automotive and marine insurance in particular. Concirrus enjoyed early success due to its blend of deep domain expertise and application of data science to a market sector that was lagging behind other industries in adoption of new technologies.
The company’s behavioural-based underwriting platform, Quest, provides portfolio management and predictive analytics to its stakeholders by harnessing the power of AI, machine learning and data analytics. This enables insurers and brokers to accurately quantify risks, and therefore limit losses and increase profit. Concirrus has proven the efficacy of Quest through its analytics work with leading London and international insurers.
Separating out the signal from the noise, combining spatial data with other sources, and presenting the results back to an insurance professional in an effective manner is a wide-open opportunity. Concirrus hopes to maintain a high level of growth through international expansion and diversification, and through developing its AI tools to support additional use cases in specialty and commercial insurance such as submissions.
