Our take

Qualitative research has long been one of the most valuable (and painful) parts of building products and brands. It's slow, expensive, and often skipped altogether, leaving teams to make big decisions without full insight. There's a massive market for better customer understanding and it's only growing, yet traditional methods just aren't keeping up. So, Conveo is stepping in to change that.

It's doing so by acting as an AI-powered research coworker. Instead of weeks of planning, scheduling, interviewing, and analysis, teams can run hundreds of AI-moderated video interviews overnight, and in over 50 languages. The impact of this is huge, saving days or even weeks of work and surfacing insights humans might miss. And crucially, every insight links back to the original transcript, so researchers can trust and verify what the AI finds.

What's especially impressive is how quickly Conveo is gaining momentum. Despite being pretty new to the scene, the company has already raised $5.3M in seed funding. This early traction and a clear vision for what's next (from multimodal interviews to long-term knowledge analysis), positions Conveo as more than just a promising startup.

Alongside Conveo, Dieter is the co-founder of DataCamp, where he served as the CTO for nearly 10 years.

Hendrik Van Hove

Prior to co-founding Conveo in 2024, Hendrik was a Consultant at McKinsey & Company and an Investment Banking Analyst at Morgan Stanley. He also spent 3 years at BRIKS as an Investor, Head of Corporate Relations, and President.
