To organise and publish reports and records from every open hearing in the UK and Ireland in order to improve access to, and transparency of, the justice system.
Our take
Investigative journalists are accustomed to navigating various sources for authoritative information, but can't search the courts despite how hugely important they are to society, businesses and to the news agenda. Courtsdesk was designed to alleviate this issue and provide corporate due diligence.
Courtsdesk's aim is to assist people to access previously unattainable court case information, but also to make this information useful and relevant. The company immediately began to receive traction from a number of people who also encountered the same issues. Courtsdesk realised it could also be a perfect fit for professionals working in financial services and insurance companies. It is building court case records, making it accessible for public interest, news outlets, legal services, and financial risk managers.
The future plan for Courtsdesk is to continue to develop its data services and look increasingly into pure data products, as well as looking to further their global expansion.
