Our take

The Great Resignation, along with an easing of the labor market following the Pandemic, has job openings at an all-time high in North America. It’s also spurred many HR departments to adjust or overhaul their recruitment practices, and many are turning their attention to the high business costs of unproductive hires and turnover rates. To solve this, more companies than ever are investing in pre-employment testing and analytics to ensure these new hires are smart investments. Criteria is a leading employment analytics platform which many are turning to.

Criteria have been offering candidate assessment tools to companies for nearly two decades now. Their SaaS platform offers a suite of testing tools that cover a broad range of traits, from skills to cognitive aptitude and emotional intelligence. They’ve won impressive enterprise clients including Ford, 7Eleven, and Asahi.

A considerable funding injection has seen Criteria focus on innovation and growth over the last few years, which helped them navigate the recruitment turmoil caused by Covid. Their acquisition of video interview provider Alcami, for example, served them well as hiring was pushed online, and will put them in good stead to continue as a strong market player going forward.
