To allow any enterprise to mobilize real-time data and quickly build smart, high-growth applications at unlimited scale, on any cloud.
-15% employee growth in 12 months
As enterprises modernize their legacy applications and clamber to use cloud services, they require data stores that are both vertically and horizontally scalable across clouds, datacentres and geographies.
DataStax is one company tackling this, offering support services for the NoSQL database, a commercial version of the Apache Cassandra database, and a database-as-a-service platform called Astra. The company has an impressive list of enterprise clients including Bank of America, CapitalOne, Disney, Starbucks, and McDonald’s.
DataStax plans to expand its partner network in more ASEAN markets, while it also looks to move beyond its core product – a sentiment reinforced by the company’s acquisition of cloud messaging service Kesque and machine learning company Kaskada. The latter indicates a growing focus on generative AI features in its enterprise database offerings off the back of its $115 million funding round in 2022.
