To unlock the full potential of battery technology.
ELECTRA AI is tackling one of modern technology's biggest hidden challenges: batteries are powerful, but not smart enough to manage themselves. Founded in 2015 by former NASA researcher Fabrizio Martini, the company sits at the crossroads of AI, energy and mobility. And it's core idea is simple but ambitious - to give batteries an AI-powered "brain" so they can operate ore efficiently and reliably.
ELECTRA's software monitors and optimizes batteries in real time, helping predict failures, extend battery life and improve performance across EVs, data centres, renewable energy storage and robotics. In early 2025, the company sent a Tesla Cybertruck on a 3,000-mile drive across the US using its AI system to predict charging stops and increase battery range by 20% without breaks, a real-world test of what its technology is capable of.
It also recently announced plans to go public through a merger with Iron Horse Acquisition II Corp. in a deal valuing the business at more than $250M. For a company that began with NASA-linked research, it marks a huge step forward. And as demand grows for EVS, AI infrastructure and large-scale energy storage, ELECTRA is betting that battery intelligence will become just as important as the battery itself.
