Our take
Emma is a money management app that uses open banking to combine information from multiple bank accounts, savings accounts, credit cards, and investments. By syncing all their accounts, customers can get real-time information on everything at the same time, as well as easy access to historical data.
The app supports most traditional banks such as American Express, Barclays, and First Direct, and app-only banks like Revolut and Monzo. It competes with companies such as Money Dashboard and Cleo, but it stands out from the crowd with features such as its ability to highlight wasteful subscriptions and its easy sign-up process.
Emma is expanding its portfolio of services, and in 2023, introduced stock trading features and savings features.
