EquityBees mission is to empower all startup builders to participate in the success of the companies they helped build.
88% employee growth in 12 months
When employees leave a startup, many are left with a critical choice. They have to decide whether or not to exercise their stock options before they expire. They might not even realize this. And even if they do, they may not always have the money to exercise them. That’s where EquityBee comes in.
EquityBee helps startup employees get capital so they can purchase stock options by linking them to investors. The investors who helped provide the funding, get a return. Or a share of the profit if there’s a future liquidity event. EquityBee makes money by charging the investor an upfront fee on the day of the investment day, plus interest upon a successful exit or IPO.
The EquityBee Investor Community consists of over 000 members. They have been responsible for financing employees from hundreds of startups, including DoorDash, Unity and Airbnb. The company has experienced significant growth in recent years with nearly a 4x increase in the amount of employees funded via its platform and the amount of money it raised to fund stock options increasing by almost 6x.
Despite this, Equity Bee currently has the fewest employees using its platform compared to Cashwagon, InvertirOnline.com, illion and PAYBACK. The company still has a lot of growing left to do. They will be reliant on attracting both employees and investors in order to facilitate those connections, and ultimately make money themselves.
