Our take

Everli is a grocery delivery service that uses gig economy-styled personal shoppers who go into the store, pick the products ordered by the customer, and then deliver them same-day. The model is similar to Instacart, which has thrived in the US market.

As the delivery partner of some of Europe’s largest grocery brands (such Lidl and Carrefour), the company has made over 5 million deliveries across 3 countries. Everli has benefited from a boost in e-commerce and an increasing reliance on delivery services, and charges a delivery fee to customers, while also generating revenue from fees charged to partnering merchants and advertising.

It differentiates itself from other grocery scale-ups because it isn't just focused on delivering essentials but can facilitate a full weekly shop, as well as its strong relationships with retailers, and the use of their existing infrastructure. Everli is well set to see continued expansion.
