While chatbots are now almost ubiquitous and AI-powered variants are appearing based on the latest developments in conversational AI, FCB.ai is unique in its focus on the specific needs of the financial sector. Its flexibility in its use cases within finance, ranging from banking customer service to debt collection, has led to its services being taken up by numerous large financial providers including Carrefour Assurance, MTN and Bidvest Insurance.
Founded in 2016 in South Africa, FCB.ai rapidly expanded to Europe, the UK and the Middle East using a combination of investment funding and the revenue from its growing customer base to achieve this. It is working to increase its presence in these markets and further develop its product, with an eye to another round of international expansion in the near future.
