Company mission

To inovate cross-chain DeFi infrastructure, connecting Bitcoin and EVM-based chains on the Internet Computer blockchain.

Our take

Finity Technologies is a company looking to develop cross-chain blockchain infrastructures. Its stated focus is on DeFi primitives, cross-chain wallet R&D, and exchanges and automated market making - all built on the Internet Computer (IC).

For the moment, this takes the form of Finity Technologies’ InfinitySwap exchange, a low-fee platform where users can also launch their own coins and staking pools. It also serves as a gateway between the Ethereum and Dfinity’s IC networks.

This latter point is an interesting one: Finity Technologies has thrown its lot in with IC, a multi-chain network solution where apps can be run entirely on the blockchain. This is, albeit in traditionally hyperbolic terms, being celebrated by some as a bold new Web 3.0 innovation - although it’s far more centralized, and has yet to gather significant momentum.

In a sense, this makes it an even smarter bet for Finity Technologies. The payoff, if IC’s team can pull off its blockchain computer, could be substantial; and because it’s not currently one of the premier chains, Finity isn’t jockeying for space as much as it would need to do on Ethereum, say, or Solana.
