The takeaway industry is booming, but many independent restaurants are struggling to make the most of this growth. Foodstuff solves this problem by facilitating low-cost and sustainable delivery for independent restaurants, as well as catering for offices and B2B clients.
Foodstuff’s model mirrors those of delivery enablement services like Deliveroo and Uber Eats, but it is specifically tailored to independent restaurants and office clients. The company further differentiates itself from its big-name competitors by offering client restaurants considerably lower fees, and improved working conditions for drivers. Foodstuff rigorously vets its vendors, which has proven popular among users looking for high-quality independents.
Foodstuff currently operates in Cambridge, Bristol, Manchester and Edinburgh, cities with high numbers of independent restaurants. This has allowed the company to build an impressive foundation while it sets its sights on expanding into new cities. In 2022, Foodstuff crowdfunded £1 million, which will further accelerate this expansion and its gradual transition into B2B catering.
