Our take
Fox Robotics is a manufacturer of self-driving forklifts that are more flexible, capable, and safer to use than previous models. The start-up has developed the first automated trailer unloader, a highly in-demand service that no other company offers.
Unlike standard AGVs, Fox’s forklifts can be installed and running in a new warehouse in less than a day, compared to the weeks it might normally take for integration. On top of this, its mobile robot products are relatively low-cost when compared to fixed automation systems that cost several hundred million dollars - making it a strong option in the growing warehouse automation market.
Fox Robotics' innovative approach has enabled it to capture significant interest in the space, as well as strong investment. Its 2022 raise is being used to broaden and accelerate product development, as the company embarks upon an aggressive expansion strategy.
