Our take

FundamentalVR applies machine learning, immersive technology and haptics to the healthcare industry, providing medical professionals and trainees with VR technology to aid them in surgery and diagnosis.

With its patented Haptic Intelligence Engine, Fundamental VR aims to accelerate skill transfer and surgical proficiency in a variety of orthopedic and spine procedures through immersive touch-sensitive simulations. Fundamental VR has optimised its technology for home, multi and mixed-use, making it a flexible tool for medical professionals.

Though Fundamental VR has achieved tens of millions in Series B funding, accreditation by the Royal College of Surgeons England, and an expansion into the US, the medical VR market is crowded. Nevertheless, FundamentalVR is confident that with its focus on Haptics and machine learning, it can provide a more multi-sensory and lifelike experience for the surgical training industry, and hence cement itself as a strong option in the market.
