Our take
As organizations worldwide ramp up their decarbonization efforts, GHGSat is setting out to empower them with emissions data and intelligence that will help optimize their performance and support them in upholding environmental standards.
The company operates a network of satellites that allow for the high-resolution sensing of greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere, that is precise enough to attribute emissions to individual facilities. Through this, it is able to monitor decarbonization progress for specific organizations and support them in making more impactful changes.
In 2022, whilst operating six satellites, GHGSat was able to observe over 500,000 facilities across the globe. Since then, it has expanded its fleet, increasing its measurement capacity to meet rising demand for its services that comes from oil and gas companies, as well as organizations such as the UN. As the only company currently delivering high-resolution emissions measurements, GHGSat is in a great position moving forwards.
