To become the leader in online automotive retailing by providing the best and easiest customer experience.
Founded in 2019, Gowago is Switzerland’s largest online car leasing service. It was co-founded by Rutger Verhoef and Leo Chevailler, two marketing and finance entrepreneurs who were dissatisfied with the customer experience in the automotive industry, which typically includes several dealership visits, price requests and negotiations. Their aim is to modernise the process of purchasing a car and remove the hassle.
Gowago focuses on the sustainability trend, one of its core values. It enables more customers to switch to electric cars by offering clear answers to inform their buying decisions, such as battery life, charging times and locations. By offering electric cars for lease, it demonstrates its commitment to the aim of making electromobility in Switzerland affordable for everyone.
Furthermore, the company has a partnership with carbon-connect AG to support reforestation in South East Asia. Its goal to promote sustainable mobility is a commendable one as it works with their partners to plant five trees for every lease contract signed, with the ultimate goal of planting one million trees.
