Our take
Ganymede bills itself as the world’s first Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) for biotech software engineering, allowing scientists to quickly import data, connect and integrate apps and instruments, and automate their lab on one platform.
Though it's still early days for the company, the fact that its built an original product gives it an obvious edge. Further encouragement comes in the name of its main early investor BoxGroup, an early-stage specialist which has backed high-growth companies such as Trello, Airtable, and Bowery Farms in their infancy.
That Ganymede’s co-founder Nathan Clark was a Product Manager at Benchling, a renowned startup platform for biotechnology R&D is also a good sign that the company can scale quickly over the next few years.
