Our take

Generated Health is the home of Florence, an intelligent health messaging platform for the healthcare industry that supports the patient outreach work of clinicians. Using Florence, patients can be prompted via text message to log regular at-home health metrics like blood pressure. This data is then automatically uploaded to the Florence platform, where clinicians can conduct analytics and triage, and more effectively monitor patient health.

It’s part of a number of startups looking to bring more efficiency to the healthcare ecosystem. With healthcare systems under increasing pressure thanks to staff burnout and shortages, an ageing population, and the persistent issue of underserved demographics, remote patient engagement methods are seeing a surge in popularity.

Generated Health has ridden this wave to score something of a golden goose in the UK market: it’s used through the NHS ecosystem. This lays a strong foundation for Generated Health to build out its healthcare pathway support features on Florence, and see future growth as telemedical solutions become a critical feature of patient engagement.
