Our take
As modern day technology continues to advance, the gap between the older generation of users continues to widen. Older adults are not the typical target audience for most tools and apps, and they often do not get taught how to use them. GetSetUp aims to bridge this gap: it helps seniors get up to speed with technology.
Through the platform, older adults are able to learn new skills by participating in online lessons about frequently used tech programs and services. GetSetUp also serves as an online community that connects retired, re-skilled educators with other seniors, providing a comprehensive social and educational platform.
Despite its early success, GetSetUp is not the only company tapping into this space. It faces competition from other the likes of Cyber-Seniors who have also seen a surge in interest. However, GetSetUp has since expanded its offering to help other demographics such as school teachers and students who need to operate certain tech for distance learning. These developments show the company's ability to meet pressing trends and needs.
