Company mission

To put the power, beauty, and magic of software development into the hands of a billion new creators.

Our take

The power to build good applications can create opportunity for individuals and businesses alike, but learning the coding skills needed to make good quality and user-friendly apps can be daunting. Glide provides a service for people and businesses to build no-code applications for mobile and web, using data set out in a spreadsheet.

Glide was founded in 2018 to help people with no coding ability to build simple applications, and the reception of its product successfully showed that if it is simple enough, anybody will take the opportunity to be a developer. By using a spreadsheet as the foundation, it is possible to create functional and well-designed apps code-free more easily, to the point that Glide can be used to make sophisticated applications without the need for programming experience.

Glide has been used to make over a million applications, by hundreds of thousands of users. The company has secured significant funding, that will likely go towards product improvement and expanding its team, with lead investor Benchmark speaking of the breadth of potential it sees for powerful no-code app building.
