To build a future of shared understanding.
7% employee growth in 12 months
Whether to replay moments from personal video calls or to record important points from work meetings, Grain is a meeting insights platform that allows users of video chat software such as Zoom to record and save footage from their calls and share it across social media platforms. Founded in 2018, Grain found its feet in 2020 and 2021 through a renewed interest in its social media-data sharing hybrid technology that can record video calls.
After several rounds of Series A funding, Grain has now reached a total of $20 million in investment. This will help Grain scale up its operations to not only include editable recording and sharing features, but entire libraries of video too. Though a young company, the vision of sibling founders Mike and Jake Adams to create a “shared library of information” is not unlike a social media platform in and of itself.
The success of the founders' lofty aims may risk undercutting the core selling point of the product - video recording of meetings, or it could elevate Grain even further into the stratosphere. Easy to use and with companies such as AngelList utilizing it to enhance their market and customer research, Grain should focus on what works before expanding too quickly.
