However, one of the more overlooked factors holding them back is old fashioned accountability. Distraction and procrastination are almost inevitable when setting your own schedule and goals/
Groove is out to tackle this with its free app which essentially allows solo workers to tap into accountability – and of course, support and encouragement – on demand. It’s a remarkably simple concept: Log in, roundtable with a small group to share goals, work for fifty minutes on your own, then have a quick debrief to congratulate each other on a job well done.
Around 70 million people participate in freelance work in the US alone at the moment. Indeed, that figure climbed by more than 20% between 2021 and 2022, with freelancers now making up nearly 40% of the entire national workforce. With this in mind, Groove couldn’t be emerging at a more opportune time.
