Our take
CEO and founder Todd Mostak was driven by a necessity to solve his own problem analysing large data volumes. What began as a radical idea at Harvard and MIT, has grown to be a platform that is changing the way major businesses and governments gain insights from massive datasets.
The HEAVY.AI platform (formerly known as OmniSci) is used to find insights in data beyond the limits of mainstream investigative tools, utilizing GPU and CPU-accelerated analytics. The company has raised more than $90m and is backed by preeminent venture capital firms and strategic investors: Google Ventures, In-Q-Tel, NEA, NVIDIA, and more.
Recently recognised by the SIIA as the best big data reporting analytics solution, HEAVY.AI launched a free full-featured version of its analytics platform available for use at no cost. This is its latest step towards making its platform accessible to an even broader audience.

(CTO)Earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Middle Eastern Studies from Harvard University. Previously Researcher at MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory for 1 year and at Harvard Kennedy School of Government for 6 months.
