Our take

HURR wants to disrupt the £21 billion UK fashion industry by creating a clothing rental service that allows people to choose a more sustainable option to embrace fashion. The company is motivated by the fact consumers spend £2.7B on outfits they'll wear just once.

HURR allows fashion lovers to make money by lending their clothes and to help renters access designer items for less. The company provides users with fashion items from an ever-increasing number of designers and retail partners from Oh Polly and & Other Stories to Chanel and Hermès, with a dress from Solace London recently rented by Kate Middleton.

The concept of 'shared ownership' has quickly caught on amongst consumers and, as of May 2021, Hurr experienced 850% year-on-year increase in users, with new offerings frequently being announced. The company partnered with Selfridges as part of their newly launched HURR Enterprise. This allows brands and retailers to launch their own rental services using HURR's technology and expertise.
