Our take
Established in 2009, the HdM Gallery has emerged as a significant player in the global contemporary art scene. Specialising in diverse mediums, including painting, sculpture, video, and installation, the gallery places a distinct emphasis on upcoming Chinese artists. Dedicated to fostering recognised artists from diverse backgrounds, HdM is committed to supporting emerging Chinese talents and promoting their work internationally. Located in Beijing, HdM expanded its reach by inaugurating a project space in Paris in 2021 and London in 2017.
The Gallery also actively participates in prestigious art fairs like Art Basel Hong Kong and Art021 Shanghai. The gallery's engagement extends to producing academic catalogues and organising institutional shows for its artists, marking HdM as a dynamic force in the contemporary art landscape. Chinese contemporary Art has been characterised by a profusion of styles and experimental tendencies and we’re sure the display of these works in the European scene adds great value to the vast culture.
