Our take

For decades, video-based performance analysis has been crucial to the setup of high-performance sports teams. However, before Hudl, it was always too challenging and expensive for millions of amateur to professional teams to generate, analyse and share insights amongst their players and staff.

By combining a mobile-first software product with smart video hardware, Hudl has arguably single handedly changed the fortunes for thousands of teams across the globe.

Through initially focusing on grassroots teams as well as making prescient bets with acquisitions like WyScout the company has managed to refine its product suite to now become a mission-critical tool for even the world’s highest performing teams.

The company is focused on continuing to build out its technology while adding more sports to the platform such as individual sports like tennis and golf - opportunities Hudl hasn’t even scratched the surface on.

Earned a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln before founding Hudl on graduation in 2006.
